Updated: Dec 6

September is a wonderful month for personal growth and development. It’s National Yoga Month, National Self-Care Awareness Month and Self-Improvement Month.

According to Ayurveda, yoga's sister science and one of the world's oldest medical traditions, September is also the best time of year to launch something new. Around this time of year, I have observed that I get excited for the possibilities of beginning a project or launching a new offering.

In Sanskrit, the language of yoga, self-study is called svadhyaya. When we observe ourselves, we develop greater self-awareness. When we take time to reflect on this awareness, we get to know ourselves better. When we know ourselves better, everything makes more sense.

Be a lifelong learner of yourself and observe instead of judge what you see.
