October 10 is World Mental Health Day. Our bodies, minds and thoughts need just as much care and attention as the rest of our lives. Begin with this self-care mantra, mama.
October 10 is World Mental Health Day—a reminder of the importance of mental health and well-being and that we are more than our physical selves. There are so many layers to us—emotional, mental, spiritual and beyond. We can’t take care of only one part and expect the rest to follow without giving those other parts of us time and attention, too.
And even when we support all parts of ourselves, it’s easy to attach to labels. A mom. A business owner, a writer, a teacher. Whatever it is, these are part of who we are but we are not defined by them. We are so much more than our bodies, minds and thoughts.
This is a magnificent mantra to meditate on and journal about.

This week's mantra: I am not this body. I am not this mind. I am not these thoughts.
